Abstract

In the last week of November, our CITO members took part in the International Media Research Conference 2023 at the Stuttgart Media University (HdM) in Germany. The ‘Practice-led and practice-based research in visual media’ conference was a pivotal event embedded within the Innovation Day as part of the International Week. The conference was organised by one of the CITO board members, Prof. Katja Schmid, as a part of the International week at HdM, and was designed to join and exchange experiences and knowledge of various international educators and researchers. Fourteen speakers from seven countries focused on topics of narration, visual aesthetics, innovative teaching methods, and the evolution of teaching content. Addressing the pressing challenges of our time, this symposium was designed to explore innovative strategies to prepare the next generation of media professionals.
